General Areas (Living Room, Bedrooms, Hallways)
- Dust all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and light fixtures
- Wipe down and sanitize doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls
- Clean and sanitize all furniture (e.g., sofas, chairs, tables)
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery
- Sweep and mop hard floors, including under furniture
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Dust blinds, window sills, and baseboards
- Empty and sanitize trash cans; replace liners
- Spot clean walls for marks and smudges
- Make beds with fresh linens (if applicable)
- Ensure all closets and drawers are empty and clean
Kitchen
- Clean and sanitize countertops, backsplashes, and sinks
- Clean inside and outside of all appliances (e.g., refrigerator, oven, microwave)
- Wipe down and sanitize cabinets and drawers, inside and out
- Clean stovetop, burners, and range hood
- Empty and sanitize trash cans; replace liners
- Sweep and mop floors, including under appliances
- Clean and sanitize any dishes, utensils, or cookware left behind
- Polish stainless steel appliances
- Refill soap dispensers and paper towels
Bathrooms
- Clean and sanitize sinks, countertops, toilets, and tubs/showers
- Clean and polish mirrors and glass shower doors
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Wipe down and sanitize cabinets and drawers, inside and out
- Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, including faucets and towel bars
- Empty and sanitize trash cans; replace liners
- Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant
- Clean and deodorize floor drains
- Ensure all personal items are removed
Dining Area
- Dust and clean dining table and chairs
- Wipe down and sanitize all surfaces
- Vacuum or mop floors
- Clean light fixtures and ceiling fans
- Ensure all dining ware is clean and stored properly
Laundry Area
- Wipe down and sanitize washer and dryer, inside and out
- Clean and organize laundry shelves and cabinets
- Empty lint traps and dispose of debris
- Sweep and mop floors
- Ensure all laundry is completed and folded/stored if required
Entryway
- Sweep and mop entryway floors
- Clean and polish doors and door handles
- Wipe down mail slots and doorbell buttons
- Ensure mats and rugs are clean and in place
Final Touches
- Ensure all windows and doors are locked and secure
- Double-check that all areas are free of trash and personal items
- Freshen the air with a light, pleasant scent
- Arrange furniture neatly and in a welcoming manner
- Place welcome materials or instructions for the next occupant if needed
